Description:

We're looking for a skilled developer to help us create lightweight, efficient desktop applications using PHP as the core technology. Yes PHP. The goal is to build standalone desktop apps (using solutions like PHP Desktop, Electron with PHP backend, or similar setups) that deliver web-like functionality in an offline or local environment.

This project is ideal for someone who’s comfortable thinking outside the box  blending traditional web technologies with desktop deployment techniques. We’ll be working on tools that are user-friendly, secure, and easy to install on Windows/Mac machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop functional desktop applications powered by PHP

• Bundle the app for local execution (no internet required after install)

• Design intuitive UIs (HTML/CSS/JS or integrate with a frontend framework)

• Ensure offline data handling, local database integration (e.g., SQLite)

• Provide full source code with clear documentation and setup instructions

Requirements:

• Solid experience with PHP and desktop app deployment (e.g., PHP Desktop, NW.js, Electron+PHP)

• Knowledge of local storage/database integration (SQLite, flat files, etc.)

• Understanding of application packaging for Windows/Mac

• Clean, modular code with proper documentation

• Bonus: experience with creating installers and auto-update mechanisms
